End of Year Events
We have all been very busy with the preschool graduation, year 6 graduation and dinner/disco as well as the end of year concert. These whole school community events have been a pleasure to attend. Celebrating our students’ achievements and showcasing talent is what primary school is all about.

Farewell- Mrs Scott
I am very sad to say that Mrs Helen Scott and her beautiful family will be moving to Brisbane at the end of this year. Mrs Scott has worked across our school (quite literally from preschool to year 6) and has always been unwavering in her support for our students, meeting their needs and helping to make Campbell Primary School a place where students feel heard. We are going to miss her and wish her family all the best in their new adventure.

Education Directorate Social Media Post
This week the ACT Education Directorate approached me, seeking a narrative to describe our journey in achieving very strong year 5 NAPLAN results. We are one of three focus schools, and it was very exciting to be able to share the CPS journey and celebrate our hard work.
Thank you!
As we approach the end of another incredible year, I am filled with gratitude and appreciation.
It has been a year full of achievement and growth. To our outstanding educators and support staff who are always hard-working behind the scenes ensuring our students have a range of opportunities and experiences. Thank you, team, we wouldn’t be where we are without you.
To our community for entrusting us with the education and development of your child/ren. Your partnership and involvement in their learning journey have played a crucial role in their success.
May the upcoming break be a time for rest, reflection and rejuvenation. I look forward to welcoming everyone back for an exciting 2024.
And just like that, it’s the end of another incredible year at Campbell Primary School! 2023 has been an adventure. We have welcomed many wonderful new people to our community, and sadly farewelled several others. There are too many highlights to list here, but we can safely say that the incredible students, families, staff and community here at CPS have done us proud. Thank you.
During the holiday period it’s important that we all take care of ourselves and our loved ones. If difficult times arise, support is available for families via Mindmap, Canberra’s mental health support for children and young people.

The graduation was the culmination of an incredible year, with students excelling with their academic, sporting, artistic and leadership endeavours throughout 2023.
On behalf of the Year 5/6 teachers, I would like to congratulate all of the graduates! We are extremely proud of you and all that you have accomplished this year and wish you all of the best for your adventure in high school.
I would also like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the Year 5/6 teachers throughout the year.

Campbell Primary Bring the House Down at the UC Capitals Game!
What an incredible time was had Friday night at the Canberra Capitals game vs Sydney. Campbell Primary students and families made the most of the tickets we received from the Hoops Program (thankyou Tradies Club and UC Capitals!) to absolutely raise the roof in support of our Caps.
In addition to the tickets 10 very lucky students had the opportunity to take the court for the half time break to show off the skills they have developed over the course of the Hoops Program – plus free shirts! I think the crowd was almost as loud for this hard fought half time showdown and Ms Minehan and Mrs Penney couldn’t be prouder of these amazing ambassadors for our little school. A very special shoutout to Ollie J who opted to have his birthday party at the game; we hope it was memorable!
Unfortunately we couldn’t quite get the girls over the line this time, Caps going down by a mere 2 points in a nailbiter. What we did achieve is create a whole new generation of CAPS mega fans! We wish our friends over at the UC Capitals a very safe and happy festive season; we will see you in 2024.
Get planning for 2024 with upcoming student-free days
