Parking

Parents who meet their children are asked to be very careful with parking and driving in and near the car parks and crossing areas. Please remember the 40 km/hr speed limit around the school. Speed are checked frequently by ACT Police. Please observe the parking signs and for everyone’s safety, park in designated parking bays in both our school car parks. A reminder that the drive-way at the front of the school is only a drop and go for parents. Please do not park in this area as it poses danger to our students.

Permission Notes

All permission notes for activities outside the school must be returned to the school signed by a parent/carer by the due date. A reminder will be sent out on the school app, prior to the closing date. Students cannot attend an excursion or camp without a signed permission note.

Personal Belongings

We encourage that all personal belongings be clearly marked with your child’s names including clothing, hats, containers and water bottles. Unclaimed items are sorted at the end of each term. Named items are returned to the owners and the remainder donated to charity. To avoid disappointment due to loss or damage we require all students to leave personal items and toys at home except by special arrangement.

Playground Supervision

From 8.30am before school, at morning recess and lunchtime there are teachers rostered for duty, moving amongst the children on the playground. All children eat have supervised eating of lunch in classrooms for the first ten minutes of the lunch period. Children are informed of wet weather arrangements at the beginning of each year, and reminded as necessary. On wet days, before school children only enter the building when there are sufficient teachers to ensure effective supervision in classrooms. At all other times children do not enter the school before 9.00am unless an arrangement has been made with a teacher, or they need teacher assistance. We request that you do not send your child to school before 8.30am.
